How do washers and dryers work

In the local you’ll find instruction panels about the operation of washing machines and dryers.

Follow the steps and in 45 minutes you’ll have your clothes clean and drying.

Washing Zone

- El Safareig del Barri has an area of washing machines with different drum capabilty: 8kg, 13kg i 17 kg.
- All programs include washing detergent, softener and stain removers.
- The washing time is of 30 minutes.
- Remember that you cannot open the door of the washing machine if the program is not finished. If you do; you’ll lose the program and the money used on it.

The use of washers is exclusively for washing clothes of daily domestic use of people.
Prohibited to wash shoes and sport shoes.
Prohibited to wash animal clothes; as well as pet beds/ carpets.
It is prohibited to use aggressive detergents; bleach or similars.
Prohibited to eat or drink.
Prohibited to enter with animals.
Prohibited to enter with bicycles, roller skates or skates.
Please respect all the furniture.
It is forbidden to take photographs without authorization.

1. Select a washing machine, put the clothes in the drum and close the door.Remember to empty pockets and close zippers.

2. Go to the cashier and follow the instructions

Better clearing and cleansing. Suitable for baby clothes and people with allergies.
Reduces the amount of residual detergent products in clothing.

3.3. Extra Centrifuged

Longer spin. Suitable for thick clothing.
Reduces the amount of residual moisture in clothes. Improves the effectiveness of subsequent drying.

All extra options are mutually compatible with all programs and clothing.

4. Make the payment in cash, by credit or debit card and/or with the El SAFAREIG DEL BARRI card.

The clock on the washing machine indicates the remaining wash cycle time.

- El Safareig del Barri has a dryer area; There are four 17-kg load dryers; You have to choose between three temperatures 60º, 70º and 80º.
- Drying time varies depending on the amount of clothing and fabric, the cycle is at least 15 minutes.
- Remember that you can open the door of the dryer at any time during the drying process to check the moisture in the clothes. DO NOT PRESS ANY BUTTON; just open and close the door. Upon opening the door; ¡the drying process will stop. Upon closing the door; the drying process will continue.

The use of dryers is exclusively for drying the clothes which labelling permits so.
Prohibited drying shoes and sport shoes.
It is prohibited to dry clothing with paper, plastic or metal accessories. If you do so you’ll burn the clothing and cause the dryer to malfunction and break.
Do not overload dryers because they’ll stop working; you’ll lose the money and the drying cycle. The optimum load is filling the drum until the middle so the clothes can spin and move from one side to the other drum.
Prohibited to eat or drink.
Prohibited to enter with animals.
Prohibited to enter with bicycles, roller skates or skates.

2. Go to the cashier, select the number of the machine you chose and pay in cash and/or with the EL SAFAREIG DEL BARRI card.

3. Go back to the dryer and select the temperature of the drying process.

3.1. Low Temperature 60º

3.2. Medium Temperature 70º

3.3. High Temperatura 80º

El Safareig del Barri has a very original area of preparation and folding clothes . It consists of a piece of furniture that covers two functions at once; one is a table necessary for the preparation and/or folding clothes; the other allowing two banks for sitting and waiting to finish the laundry.
